What is Safety Gear?
Safety Gear or Personal Protective Equipment, is clothing or equipment worn to protect against physical, electrical, mechanical, or other workplace hazards. Common safety gear includes gloves, safety glasses, earplugs, earmuffs, masks, eye shields, aprons, hard hats, respirators, coveralls, vests, and protective footwear.

How To Safely Store Safety Gear
- Clean each article of safety gear thoroughly and let it dry before storing it.
- Never use harmful solvents or chemicals unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- Properly hang or fold your safety gear.
- Place the gear in a safe area out of direct sunlight and away from pets – how many times have you lost a pair of shoes to the family dog? A cupboard or shelves work great for storage.
- Use hangers to hang up vests and hardhats.
- Store gloves in pairs to prevent one from disappearing!
